How the price works
A call-out fee covers the truck, the driver and the first few miles. Past that you pay for the miles your vehicle spends on the truck — the run out to you is ours. The Recovery Meter shows both legs separately so you can see which one you are paying for, and anything further out than our radius we price on the phone rather than by formula.

Then £4.00 a mile carrying your vehicle. The run out to you is on us.
Recovery after 20:00 is charged at a 20% out-of-hours call-out. We answer the phone around the clock.

- How is recovery priced?
- A £100 call-out fee covers the truck, the driver and the first 5 miles. After that it is £4.00 a mile for the miles your vehicle spends on the truck — the run out to you is on us. Recovery after 8pm carries a 20% out-of-hours call-out. The Recovery Meter shows all of it before you commit to anything.
- Do you answer the phone at night?
- For recovery, yes — that's the point of a recovery service. Workshop bookings are handled during opening hours, but the website takes them any time.
- Do you recover outside Exeter?
- Yes, but past about 20 miles from the workshop we quote it on the phone instead of online. A long run out of our patch depends on the route and the time, and we would rather give you a real number than a formula's guess.
